uncle808us Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Okay the beta version it's nice I use it all the time to move my PDF UV maps so they are transparent but the only problem is when the beta is renewed everything is dumped all my brushes all my settings everything and that happens each time there's a new beta so my question is when Will the app catch up with the betas or do we have to keep doing the beta thing for years hopefully not. alright thank you. william7 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I forget where they said it but the Affinity Dev team is shooting to have the next shipping version out before Christmas at which point the MAS and Beta will be even and then they will begin work on the next updates. Quote
VIPStephan Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Beta versions are usually meant for final feature testing, not for production. So, if you want steady features you’ll have to use the official retail version. And if you’re using a beta you’ll have to live with the fact that things are continuously changing and settings might not persist. It’s your call. Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 17, 2015 Staff Posted November 17, 2015 Hi uncle808us, If the actual Beta does what you need, after the next Mac App Store update which will include all Beta functionality you should be able to keep working with the MAS without the need to resort to the Betas again. As @william7 said the next update should be available before Christmas. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
