Paint brush tool

I used the paint brush tool with a texture. Now I am stuck with the texture - how do I clear it?

Pick one of the brushes from the Basic category.

I did that and got a line. I do not want any texture.

How do I return brush to normal setting so I can paint over layer mask to hide or reveal?

Perhaps you could give us a screenshot showing what brush you're using, what you're getting, and describing more about what it did that you don't want?

I was painting texture on a flower having selected brushes. Now I can't get brush to go back to having no texture. All i get is the texture I selected.

Changed brush and got this. Cannot get rid of any texture.

Thanks. I'm not sure what you mean by texture, in that image, but I wonder if it might be the Wet Edges setting in the Context Toolbar, or the brush opacity.

Thanks Walt. Have sorted problem myself. Problem was a self imposed brain fade.
