tonyt
Hi I am trying to create a drop shadow that might fall on a card framed photo as per pic. I could do it in PS, but how in AP. I have tried lots of different ways with no luck. Also, can't find a way to texturise paper as in the edge mount in the pic... Cheers..... Staff Callum Posted November 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted November 12, 2015 Hi Tonyt, You can use the Outer Shadow in the effects tab to create a drop shadow effect on your pictures. Make sure you have your picture selected in the Layers tab then go to the Effects tab and tick the box for Outer Shadow. When the box is ticked the drop down menu will appear allowing you to edit the shadows position, size, colour and opacity. In terms of creating the texturised paper effects I would advise experimenting with some of the noise filters to see if you can recreate that effect. I hope this helps :) C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
evtonic3
I attempted to recreate the image you posted. I didn't do the texture but I do have some ideas on that. Just wanted to share the file to show how I did it. Its not traditional but it was easy. Once you understand the app and its limitations/advantages you'll be able to get along with your projects. beach.afdesign
evtonic3
The texture can be an image you find online, desaturated, with overlay mode or something like that, and placed on top of these elements.
