manjad Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Getting blue color castwhen importing dng file output from on1 nonoise ai Quote
Subclavius Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Hello @manjad and welcome to the forums. Are you able to give any more details about the problem or attach the file in question? When you refer to the blue colour cast, do mean that is it blue when compared with Lightroom/Photoshop for example, or compared with a previous version of Affinity Photo? Do you get the colour cast with any other files? Does it still appear, for example when you turn the lens correction off? Quote
RichardMH Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Did you do the raw processing in affinity or nonoise? In any case by importing it into the develop persona it is being processed again. Maybe turning off the Tone Curve, Noise Correction and Exposure Bias in Develop Assistant would help. Might be worth exporting a tiff from nonoise and seeing if it still happens. I use Topaz denoise as a plug in. Pretty sure you can use nonoise the same way. Quote
Max P Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Hi This reminds me of a colorcast mentioned on this forum about DX0 pureraw. In the meantime, I had read on a Darktable FAQ that this kind of problem (pink or blue color) was induced by screens which are not all able to translate fine variations of range in the highlights and that each software had its own way to deal with this limit From memory Aurélien Pierre advised to limit the range about 230 On your histogram we can see that the high limit is largely exceeded, which should not be too hard to correct In Develop basic Reduce the exposure a little Decrease the brightness Play with Shadows and Hightlight Interactively First try to get close to the limit without exceeding it and conclude the interaction with the 2 softs with your screen And tell us, please Quote
RichardMH Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 You running the latest update of nonoise? They have a fix for a colour cast problem. Quote
mjad Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 (edited) Sorry, missed this post as it did not show up in "content i started" section Posted an updated version of the post with comparision , here do not know how to delete post AP 1.10 (windows store edition) on Windows 10 Processing image in on1 nonoise ai as standalone and importing the resulting DNG files in AP causes images to look overexposed and/or with colorcast all the time. no other adjustment was done as other than noise removal and sharpening in On one Nonoise ai opening the same DNG files in PS elements 2020 works fine. Subclavius Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 @mjad What happens to the picture when you press the 'Develop' button? Is the colour cast/blown higlights still present? Only when the picture is developed does APhoto assign the destination colour space to the image so the colours/highlights etc may then change. Quote
