Start in Affinity Photo > File > New or Open (Bring in your image) > Selection Brush Tool (Select the object from the image) > Make New Layer > Save .PNG > Go to Brush panel > Create New Category > Rename Category > New Intensity Brush

option ~ Open Affinity Designer > File > New... > Pixel Persona > Brushes > Create New Category > Rename Category > New Intensity Brush

As tutorials go, this one is a bit ‘thin on the ground’ and, frankly, a bit confusing.
It might be better if you can flesh out your method with more explanation and maybe include some screenshots to show what you are doing.
Otherwise, from my perspective, it may not be much use to anyone who needs good and clear instructions.

Note: Photo has had “New Brush from Selection” functionality since 1.9, which you may want to look at.

Artist Wright on YouTube has some in depth tutorials on creating Affinity vector and pixel brushes. Excellent.

@nehakakar You're welcome. Both video tutorials are very good. I'm not sure why only video is displayed as an "image", but there are two brush tutorials, so be sure to click both links.
