Affinity Suite: wrong unit of measurement for stroke

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Whatever the unit of measurement of the document, the unit of measurement of the stroke is systematically converted into points, everywhere, in the Affinity suite.

For example, 5 mm always becomes 14.173 pt no matter what you do.

😁 By the way, the term ‘Stroke’ is very badly translated by ‘Trait’ in French.  In French, a Trait evokes above all a movement: le trait d'une flèche, boire d’un trait, un dessin au trait. The correct term is ‘Liseré’, (not, of course, to be confused with ‘bordure’ or ‘contour’ which evokes the frontier and not what is on the frontier).

Mais je vous le demande, peut-on imaginer une police sans sérifs ?

Hi @Pyanepsion,

look under 'Preferences / User Interface' and uncheck 'Show Text in points' and/or 'Show Lines in points'.

This should solve your problem.
