use a text block several times but write it only once?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am wondering if and how it would be possible to have certain text elements written, (or better) filled in once and being linked to several instances of itself. Like creating a multipage form that has an address and other elements, that are supposed to be exactly like on the first page?

best regards.

Off the top of my head, here are a few ideas for the software as it currently stands:

  • If you also have Designer, then you could save these reusable elements as a symbol from the Designer persona.
  • If these elements would appear on the same position on the page each time they are used, you could make a master page where you put the text and then apply the master page to the appropriate pages where the text is needed (remember you can have more than one master page applied to each page in Publisher).
  • You could save your text in one of the fields in the Field Studio (comments, for example) and insert that field into the text. That seems rather "hacky," but perhaps it could pass for certain limitted needs.

As this is a suggestion section, we could also brainstorm ideas for future software that would make this better.
