David Wilcock Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Being new to affinity photo. I tend to find the problems that seem too easy. Using the ellipse marque tool, it's limited to the controls. Particularly after making the first selection I cannot redit. Eg wanting to make a circle larger or smaller. Where as the ellipse tool has these features. Or have I missed something.? Secondly it would be good to have more info explaining the tools in help eg use of shift bar, alt key etc. Quote

Eg wanting to make a circle larger or smaller Unfortunately it's not possible to directly control the size of the ellipse once you've drawn it. You could set the Context Toolbar mode to Add, and then draw a new ellipse over the original to increase the size, however this is essentially the same as drawing a new selection. You can hit the Q key Then switch to the move tool to resize or move the selection Then hit the Q key again to exit But it's really only suitable for minor changes to the size Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
