marciomendonsa Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 Dear, while editing RAW photos on the AP, the PC has randomly restarted. This has only happened while editing photos on the AP. In other uses with the PC, it works normally. Does anyone know how to help me? Thank you, everyone. Quote

Hi, Photo is one of few Apps who will intensively utilize you GPU and CPU. If your PC becomes unstable with Photo, there are a few possible causes: Windows 10, OpenCL GPU driver: Try to disable OpenCL in Photo (uncheck box behind "Hardware acceleration". Try to update to latest GPU driver version. Laptops with weak battery: Try using power adapter (not running on battery). Windows PC: try using "high performance" power plan instead of "energy saving" or "balanced" power plan. Check that the cooling airflow is unblocked. May use vacuum cleaner (outside only) to remove dust from all openings and vents. There are additional possible causes, please start with disabling OpenCL. Dan C Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Hi @marciomendonsa, Sorry to hear you're having trouble! As far as I'm aware the Affinity app doesn't have the ability to restart your PC, so it may be something further with your local system or Windows installation causing this whilst the Affinity app is in use. Can you please confirm for me, do you see any error message or warning when the PC restarts? Does your PC 'blue screen' before restarting? Please do try the steps recommend above, specifically regarding your GPU drivers and unticking OpenCL Hardware Acceleration. Do let us know if this helps Quote
