Fivel
This was brought up several years ago, but I do not see that there was a fix for this issue. I can get the macros to open/work with a mouse, but not with my Wacom Intuos Draw pen/tablet. There is no preference setting for tablets either. I enjoy AF for my astrophotography processing, but would prefer to use a pen than a mouse. Is there a current fix for this old issue? Thanks and stay well. Staff Lee D Posted April 19, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 19, 2021 @Fivel This is still with developers, I'll update the log to see if any new movement is made.
Fivel
Thank you Lee for your update. As to the issue, there is a workaround, but it is not as quick and easy to use. On any macro I right click and select Edit macro. That puts the macro in the macro panels instead of the library. Finally to use the macro I must press the play button. I hope that after all these years someone can get this issue fixed. Thanks again for an otherwise outstanding application. Fivel
hdframez
Update: with version 1.10.4 the problem still exists. There is no problem to record and edit a macro with a Wacom pen and tablet (Wacom Intous Pro), but it is not possible to run the macro. With a mouse the macro runs. Old Bruce
Hi and welcome to the forums @hdframez, This has been brought up previously. It is one of the weirdest things I have come across in my decades of working with computers. 18 hours ago, hdframez said: There is no problem to record and edit a macro with a Wacom pen and tablet (Wacom Intous Pro), but it is not possible to run the macro. With a mouse the macro runs. I actually went and put one of the buttons on the tablet to be a mouse Click. Hover the cursor over the macro and hit the button on the tablet with your free hand. Works but it is utterly stupid. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
