Photo version 1.9 crashes at will on Windows 10. states affinity photo (not responding), screen becomes an opaque white and freezes. Am forced to close down and start again. Worked perfectly until updated yo version 1.9 +

Versions 1.9+ are configured to use hardware acceleration. If your system can't support that, it will crash.

Try updating the GPU (graphics) driver.

If that doesn't work..., turn OFF hardware acceleration in Preferences >> Performance.

Have you got Capture one installed?

That's not correct. If the system doesn't support Hardware acceleration, you won't be able to enable it in Preferences.
