Joachim_L
Never came across this before, because I had no need for this. A few versions ago the "Load metadata from XMP sidecars" function was introduced. It works as I can see / need, but it gives problems with the following workflow. 1) Open image like a TIF having a XMP sidecar. 2) Add some metadata. 3) Save the file, not export and close it. 4) Open the image again. Result: The metadata from step 2 is lost, because the XMP was not updated. So in the case of just saving the file, the XMP has to be updated or deleted. Since Affinity cannot save / update XMP, this is more a feature request and can be moved if wanted. UweN
Hello, just a question: why does a TIF have a XMP sidecar? Which program creates a sidecar for TIF files? From my point of view a sidecar is for RAW files to keep the original unchanged. regards, Uwe
