tombo
Hello, I just brought a Luminex camera, great camera but tedious. A nasty surprise is that Lightroom (do not intend to pay a subscription for a version that will) will not open those RAW files. Affinity opens them but very-very slowly. I am following a thread about Affinity not having the capability to import a batch of raw files of any kind and am not seeing a happy ending to that problem. Can you advise me if there is a way to do that now, or if not can you a workaround to get those file in either Lightroom or Affinity in a reasonable time frame? PS, now I see the way around this is to acquire a DNC converter; I just checked and Adobe does not have one for Windows 7, any recommendations malware free location to acquire one of these? Thank You and Regards, thagood Edited March 18, 2021 by tombo did research that refined the question
Staff Lee D Posted June 29, 2021 Staff Share Posted June 29, 2021 Hi @tombosorry for the delay in replaying. Affinity Photos Develop persona isn't designed to open more than one file at a time and our developers have no current plans to change this process. In terms of converting your RAW files into DNG, Adobes DNG converter is the best one available as it has Adobes RAW support behind it. My personal advice would be to consider updating your OS as Microsoft ended support for 7 back in Jan 2020 and not many app developers are going to continue to support it as it lacks newer features that apps use within Windows. That is truly bad news. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
