Text Wrap problem from IDML

Recommended Posts

Affinity Publisher is not honoring the setting "Text Wrap Only Affects Text Beneath".

The attached IDML will show that the text box on top of the tint box is not displayed due to the "wrap".

If you move the text box so that it is no longer on top of the tint box you will then see the text.

The text frame needs to have the Ignore Text Wrap checked.

There are going to be differences between InDesign files and Publisher files because they are different, they have different methods of achieving similar ends and we have to use the methods the application understands and is capable of using.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

"ZOrderTextWrap" is a setting in the IDML which Affinity Publisher is not handling and is therefore a serious bug

If an application (Publisher) does not have a particular function the lack of that function is not a bug. The application's (Publisher's) inability to apply a nonexistent function is also not a bug.

That we can open IDML files is a bonus. These files should be expected to contain problems due to the incompatibility of the two applications' sets of features and functions. We should make plans for finding and fixing these problems.
