Butrflied
Hi there - I want to create some vines for a project, is it possible for a gradient to follow a stroke along the curve or path? Right now when I apply a gradient to a stroke it seems to be a fixed angle (that I can rotate) but since my vine twists and turns, it applies to the curve as a whole rather then making it look like a 3d cylinder. Have any of created stems / vines / beanstalks and have any tips? Thanks!
Gear maker
Hi Butrflied. Something like this is the best that I have found AD to do for a gradient along a stroke. You can add colors or a more complex gradient. Hope that helps. Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra

CunningTurtle00
Recently bought the software, ran into this problem, and your solution for the time being works perfectly. Thanks!
Gear maker
CunningTurtle00, welcome to Affinity. Glad it helped. That's what makes this forum so valuable, there's an answer to just about every question. At least questions regarding the Affinity products. Guest
HI Butrflied, You can also create a brush with a gradient and then apply it to your stroke.
