Ferdinando Traversa
As you can see in the attached video, the "Erase white paper" filter isn't working in Affinity Photo for me. Any ideas? firstdefence
I would trace over the lines with the pen tool and do away with the image, and add the letters using the artistic text tool, I think you would end up with a better result. Ferdinando Traversa
Oh @firstdefence you're totally right! Thanks, this is a way better solution. Anyway I think that the erase white paper filter isn't working anymore at all. How can I tell this to developers?
markw
Remove White Paper is working but it looks to me as though you clicked on the wrong colour removal option in your video. You need to click on Cancella Carta bianca not Elimina alone bianco. Ferdinando Traversa
OMG! I was clicking the wrong option in Italian! Thank you really much. @markw
markw
No worries, hitting the wrong menu option in the heat of the moment is easily done and we’ve all been there!!! firstdefence
The erase white paper filter has it's uses but it's not great unless the layer has pure black and pure white and obviously no greys or as little grey as possible. It also tends to leave an image translucent if the former caveat isn't applied. You can make a mask that is black if the subject lends itself to that but generally it requires an RGB image and some messing around with selections and refining that selection. So redrawing is a much quicker way in this instance.
