Not able to register Affinity Photo and Designer purchased from Microsoft store on Serif website

I purchased through the Microsoft Affinity Photo on 21 April 2020 and Affinity Designer on 18 June 2020 both of which were updated to the latest version 05 February 2021. I have been trying to register both products but haven't had success with either product. I would like assistance to register both products with Serif in order to take advantage of the offerings that seem not to available in the Microsoft store

We're currently looking into this. Is it possible to give me answers to the following questions?

- Did you buy the app from the Microsoft Store?
- What version of Microsoft Store do you have running (found towards the bottom of the Settings page)?
- What's the version number of c:\windows\system32\RuntimeBroker.exe?
- Are you running any anti-virus software? If so, what is it?

Thanks for providing this information. Our developers are still investigating.

Is this a personal or work computer? Are you using a hardware firewall at all? Have you noticed any other issues with apps connecting the internet?

FYI: We've had reports from other users that installing the latest beta of the app and signing into their account in that version resolved the issue in the Microsoft Store version. Not sure if it's something you want to try.

This is my work PC, and I do have a hardware firewall attached. I have over 40 devices connected all are having no issues with any apps or other programs attaching. Bandwith is exceptional,  and connections are not being dropped. Testing with Wireshark can confirm this. The only app  having issues  are the three affinity apps, Publisher, Designer and Photo.

Do you have a detailed list of fix's the beta resolves. I'd be more than happy to try for a short period of time.

I have a quick update on this issue. We appear to have a couple of issues with the My Account option in the 1.9 update that is affecting some users. We’ve just made available on the forum beta builds for both Affinity Photo and Designer for Windows (Publisher to follow soon) that should hopefully resolve these issues and give us the ability find out what could be causing the issues.

So, if you’re getting…

A crash when clicking My Account in 1.9 on Windows:

We’re Sorry. Something went wrong during registration or sign-in
We’ve had reports that users who have been getting this error in the Microsoft Store version of our apps have been able to fix this by downloading the beta build of the app and signing into their account using that build. Once they've done this they can then go back into the Microsoft Store version and sign in without any issues.

If you’re issue is not listed above, please try the latest beta builds and see if the issue is resolved. If not, please let me know.
