Page size with bleed changes with Artboards resolved

Recommended Posts

I’m not that familiar with using bleed but understand the concept. In both the beta and release versions it is still not possible to add bleed to an artboard. The suggested workaround is to create the page without an artboard, add bleed, then add Artboard. Seems to work until you Export as PDF, at which time it shows that the page size has somehow changed. The print and bleed margins on the right side are now off the page (they are ok before adding the Artboard.

This seems to be a bug?

Hi DM1,

I'm not seeing that here. I created A4 document, added bleed, added a shape to the bleed extents and then added a second shape to page extents and exported including bleed and printer marks. I then inserted an Artboard and exported using the same settings and both documents are the same.

I've attached the AFdesign files I used as well as the PDFs.

Hi Sean, The issue doesn’t become apparent until you add a second artboard.

EDIT: it appears to be an issue with the Files apps viewer. See below). When I open the two artboard exported PDF in Documents, the print margins appear correctly. Sorry for the confusion.
