john2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Hi, I would like to purchase photo, publisher and designer app, however i hope you can help me with my question. Can you please explain how much additional cost could be as stated on your website: "Upgrading to V2 for additional cost". As i can see for the Mac OS, you're working on beta version 1.9. I know you're saying there is NO date planned yet for the release of V1.9 or V2, but that can be tomorrow, next week, next month or next year etc. Thanks, Nas Quote
Old Bruce Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Hi and welcome to the forums @john2021, You have asked a question which has no real chance of getting an answer due to basic business practices best summed up as "Don't tell people to not buy our product". If you wait it may be years before version two is released can you wait that long? If the upgrade happens next week you get burned. Can you afford to not have the software versus can you afford to purchase the upgrade. Do you currently need the software with the features it has now? Remember that you don't have to buy the upgraded version, you may not want the new features for the price. I have some software going back decades and I only upgraded with every second or third version. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Staff MEB Posted February 2, 2021 Staff Posted February 2, 2021 Hi @john2021, Welcome to Affinity Forums Version 1.9 should be out very soon, there's however no release date for v2 nor are any prices/upgrade costs set at this point. I don't know if you are aware but we are currently offering a 90 day trial and also 50% discount on all products so that may help you take a better decision with what's known. Thanks for your support. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
