If you already have Designer you can access the feature in Publisher via the Designer Persona

Or do you not have Designer?

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Do you intend to add it to Publisher as well?

If they were planning to add it in the Publisher Persona for 1.9 it would, probably, already be there as it's too close to the end of the beta to be adding new things.

Hi Walt,

Thought that maybe they were refining it before integrating to Publisher. By the way I all three products, but it could not be the case for everybody.

Just made the test. It works but with a big drawback. It only selects on the current page.

Yes, because Page-based documents work differently than Artboard-based documents.

But if you had an Artboard-based document in Publisher you could select across the Artboards, just as you can in Designer.

Of course I know that. Does it mean that a paged base application cannot do object operations over multiple pages? I don't think so. By the way, quite a lot of them do.

I am not talking about applications in general, but about the Affinity applications specifically.

The following operations will work across the entire document:

  • Select Same, but only if the document does not contain Pages.
  • Find & Replace
  • Changes to Symbols
  • Changes to Global colors
  • Selection of text within (across) linked Text Frames
  • Changes made to Master Pages
