Eliminate Jagged edges around imported png image (Photo)

I have imported a .png image, I put it on a dark background (filled rectangle) the edges around the image (object in the .png) has jagged edges how do I eliminate this jagged edge problem? Thanks.

Hmm, at first I would perhaps check if it is not just a display problem (Preferences > View Quality > Bilinear) … see my example, a combined screen shot with an imported star image in PNG format. On the left side you will see the “Nearest Neighbour” appearance, on the right side the “Bilinear” one … please note the jagged edges on the left one.

I was referring to the .afdesign file. You can delete all the other elements leaving just the background and the figure.

Thanks for the file. Those jagged edges are coming from the PNG image itself. You have to mask them or refine the image in some way to get rid of them.

There's a couple ways to go about this but i'm not sure which one gives the best results without trying first.

It was imported from Poser 2014 is that where it needs to be fixed, if it can't be done there then what? Thanks.

Do you know if Poser 2014 can generate an alpha channel? That would be the cleanest option.

This can be fixed in Photo. I'm just not sure the best way to approach this.

I don't know the answer to this but... I did find one choice in Poser that helped a bit But I would still like to know how to get rid of this kind of problem when it occurs in Photo. Thanks for any ideas.Still a PNG export with HDRi optimized turned on in the Poser renderer.
