Beton
Hi I have recently purchased Affinity Photo for iPad and In first day I have noticed that all portrait (vertical) photos in NEF format are visible upside down and resolution is reduced to 160x180 pic when loaded. I use Nikon D7200 with Nikon 50 mm 1,8f. This is extremely confusing situation and caused that I am not able to work with 15-20 percent of my photos. Example visible below. Is there some solution for this issue or just need to accept that I made “ not the best purchase in my live”? Russell higginbotham
I had and still have the same problem. But now things are even worse because I can’t upload pictures without just getting thrown out of the app. I reported the first issue quite some time ago and was told a solution was being worked on. please help
Beton
Hi Russ. I am testing various methods of file uploading and it seams that I have found some way how to mitigate the problem. I faced this issue when I copied NEF files from SD card to Apple Photos application and then to Affinity Photos. but there is other way. Raw photos can loaded to affinity via iCloud. When I did it the problem did not occur. This solution can be used only when you have access to the internet. For me this is not so good news. I have purchased iPad and Affitny photo to work outdoor in the wild places where internet is not available... I have contacted today their customer support I hope they can provide me with some solution. If not then probably I will need to go to Adobe and... pay them subscription. Staff Gabe Posted October 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 26, 2020 Hi both, Sorry for the delayed reply. We are aware if these issue and it has already been logged with our developers. This show only affect RAW files stored in the Photos app. If you open the RAW files from the local storage (or any cloud) it should be fine. Documents app by Readdle (free) has a built in File manager that can access the Photo Library. You just need to create a Folder on iPad (say in the Documents folder and use Documents app to move the raw files to that folder. Now use Affinity Photo's Open from Cloud to navigate to Documents folder to open the raw file. No internet needed, 🙂 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). dRi
Hi, I have a similar problem with all portrait (tall) orientation photos in NEF format (Nikon Z 6) and after importing photos to Affinity Photo on iPad resolution decrease to 120 x 160 pix. Also I m getting following message "Assigned Profile: Photo iPad assigned your working profile (sRGB IEC61966-2.1) to this unprofiled document" . Photos are shown in correct orientation (not upside down). Example below. Edited November 5, 2020 by dRi
