Hi there,

I'm not really sure how to explain this, so sorry if it's confusing! But I had been using PSD files to create mockup images on AP, and I would double click the 'project' icon to insert my design into the photo.

For some reason I can no longer double click the 'project' icon, and so I'm not sure how to insert my design? I don't know if AP has changed or if it is because I'm using a new laptop?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what the "project" icon is, Jessica. Can you provide a screenshot of what you've been double-clicking?

Thanks. I would call it double-clicking the layer in the Layers panel.

That is used to edit an embedded file, but you're clicking on a pixel layer. That would never have done what you described as far as I know.

I think you would just delete that layer and move your design into that spot in the layer stack.

I definitely was able to do it before, I have edited others but now it doesn't seem to be working in the same way.

Thanks anyway for your help. Jessica

Hi Jessica, have you checked the Affinity Preferences to import PSD smart objects where possible, if this is not ticked they stay as pixel layers

Ahh no I hadn't! Thank you, I had forgotten to do that with my new laptop, so that must be why! I really appreciate your answer and help!
