Affinity iPad Student Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 Face_Your_Fears.psdI am following the following tutorial: (time stamped begins at exact location of my issue) As tutorial instructs... I have attached an hsl adjustment to the waterfall layer (background) However, when I try to change the waterfall layer to blue (as tutorial shows) hsl seems to not be working - nothing is happening. (shown in the 2nd video clip below) I then tried it on the boy layer.. also not changing to blue, instead blue pixel blocks appear on the boy image (shown in the 1st video clip below) I closed out Affinity Photo, relaunched it, still having same hsl issue. What am I doing wrong? (I have attached video clips to show what I am experiencing, I have also attached the PSD files) Face_Your_Fears.psd FullSizeRender.mov FullSizeRender.mov Quote

Try adding a Recolour adjustment to the waterfall and move toward blue, maybe also reduce lightness. You could also try a Split Toning adjustment for a more subtle effect. Just remember the AP app can achieve same result but often using different features. Affinity iPad Student and Paquito 2 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). I have been slowly arriving into this realization. Thank you for putting clear posture onto it. As always @DM1 “Design Master One!” I value & appreciate your responses. Thank you! Quote
stevencasteel Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 This was the top post when I searched "HSL shift adjustment not working". When I moved sliders, nothing would happen. No matter where on the layer panels it was. The solution was to quit the software and open it again. "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" Quote
michael_laird Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Thanks stevencasteel, your solution is still working in 2025. Quote
