Stickyfish
I am trying to set up a 1x1pt grid on a 64x64pt artboard but I can not get all gridlines to show. I have tried various combinations of grid spacing and divisions but nothing works. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for your help / suggestions. GarryP
Welcome to the forums @Stickyfish My guess, if I have understood your requirements correctly, is that you need to use a spacing of 1pt with 1 division (e.g. every major grid line is at a 1pt distance from the others and there is only 1 division between them), see attached image. Stickyfish
Hi, thanks for the welcome and the speedy reply : ) I tried the 1pt 1 division but the grid disappears completely. If I set it to 2pt 1 division it's visible. I have tried altering window size, artboard size, document dpi, and just about everything else to try and reason out why it won't go down to 1x1pt. carl123
With the grid set to 1pt try zooming in a lot (e.g. 700% or more) Does it show up now? Stickyfish
Still not showing at any zoom. I've also tried different grid line colours ...
Stickyfish
Ah, I got it working. Checked and installed update to 1.8.4 and the gridlines are now there. Unfortunately I do not know what version I was on before but I am guessing 1.8.3 because I only installed it a few weeks ago. Thanks all for taking the time to reply. Stickyfish
For info ... confirmed I was on 1.8.3. However, I doubt it was the version per se that was problematic because others would have noticed?
Staff MEB Posted September 1, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 1, 2020 Hi Stickyfish, Welcome to Affinity Forums This was a known issue that was fixed in v1.8.4. It wasn't working in v1.8.3 as you noticed. GarryP 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
