Undo bug

Recommended Posts

Hi, simple bug with undo/redo and Assistant enabled

  1. Create new image
  2. Drag/drop an existing jpg/png file
  3. Resize that new image layer a bit
  4. Add blur using Layer effects
  5. Turn on Healing Brush tool and try to choose a sampling point
  6. Assistant will now rasterize this layer
  7. Not that it looses blur, but that may be intentional
  8. Undo, notice that the layer goes back to being image, from pixel layer, but it's not blurred anymore
  9. If you move back and forth with history it may eventually reapply the blur

Thanks TEcHNOpls, I will pass this back to the developers.

You can set the Assistant to 'Take no Action' for Other brushes on vector layers to stop it rasterising the object. I recall a conversation I had about preserving layer FX when an Image layer gets rasterised but I cannot recall exactly what was said—I'll chase that up.

I want to keep using my Asisstant, so no thanks :P

As for it dropping Layer FX, I think it's a bug. I understand it's a new layer, but it's a direct 'copy' of what I'm using, so copying these settings is the least you can do.
