Soirse
Hello i recently purchase Affinity Designer via MS STORE but did not receive a product key for the software. Although i do not need it to run the software as it can be launched from MS store. my problem is i do not have a physical location on my pc where the software should be, nothing shows up in remove/uninstall nor in the regedit software section and right click should be able to open the files location. my predicament is i want to add new fonts to designer but that a little hard to do without a the physical software being present on my pc. is there away to add new fonts to designer without having to drop the file into the designer location. or how do i get my product key from ms and do a hard install instead of a suspected mirror image any help greatly appreciated thanks
Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Soirse. Fonts are added to the operating system, not to individual apps. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-install-fonts-in-windows-10/ Microsoft Store apps are tied to your Microsoft account, so there are no product keys. Windows provides mechanisms for installing fonts. For example, you can right-click on a font file (.ttf or .otf) and choose "Install". If you open a document which uses a missing font, AD will pop up a message about it. The app’s font cache will be updated automatically when you install the font, but you’ll need to close the affected document and reopen it for correct display of any text using that font.
