anon1
I just watched the shadows and highlights video and questioned myself why does the normal filter still exist? Isn´t the live filter as powerful by any means? https://vimeo.com/136106490
yakk
I was actually thinking the same thing. Or may be why it is not the same filter but with just an option to make it definitive. I can understand that sometimes, on a specific layer, you just have to modify it with a filter. But having the same processing in different menu can be disturbing. anon1
....disturbing and when these things sum up it messes up the UI and the drop downs..... I thought that it might be performance thing but one could still merge the live filters with the pixel layer and get the same result right? Staff MEB Posted August 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 15, 2015 Hi MBd, yankk, The reason both exist is simply because regular filters were introduced first with the application, and later reworked and integrated as Live filters. Since Live filters are more demanding (performance wise), the regular ones were kept in the application for now. This may change in the future. justwilliam and anon1 2 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

anon1
I would also like to see filters like the maximum blur as a live filter. Just every filter possible should be non destructive, if it´s not impossible by design ;)
