Darner Posted July 14, 2020 Share Posted July 14, 2020 Hey Affinity. Duplicate and rotate around center is unfortunately not accurate in Affinity Designer Desktop. It is not much, but apparently enough to affect things like "unite" with multiple elements rotated evenly around center. Small gaps sometimes appear after unite, which requires manually adjustment, normally much more than just one. The test process: - Center one line vertically + horizontally - cmd j - shift + rotate 15 degrees - cmd j multiple times See attached example! Also attached similar from Illustrator for your comparison, hopefully some good news in the bug list, showing Affinity Designer is a bit more accurate. Still hope you can fix the accuracy issue accross the application. Experienced other accuracy challenges in Affinity, like snapping in less typical scenarios. Darner Posted March 6, 2021 Author Share Posted March 6, 2021 Sorry for late feedback. It is possible you did not zoom enough to reveal the issue. This affects the design when using "combining objects", and leaves traces of nodes as it is not properly overlapping, after power duplicating elements according to the line grid around in circle.
