Permanent view of text box frames in Publisher

Recommended Posts

Quick question: How do I make Publisher always show all the text box frames on a page I'm working on, even if I'm not working in that particular text box? I'm used to always seeing these frames in ID and – back in the day – QuarkExpress (showing my age!). In Publisher, when I start working in a text frame (say, the body text frame), all the other text box frames I've set up (headline, pic captions etc) disappear (not the text, just the frames). I'd like to see them. Probably something I missed in the tutorial vids... Enlightenment greatly received.

Thanks Garry P and Walt. I didn't really explain well what I meant, but I can see now that actually my question was about unexpected behaviour in Publisher compared with ID, which I've used for many years. With Preview set to Off, I see all the picture and text frames, gutters in text boxes etc, as I would see in ID working in Normal mode. What threw me was that as soon as I started typing in a text box, all those other frames would disappear, which I wasn't expecting (since they all remain visible in ID Normal mode). They all reappear when I click out of the text box I've been amending. I can certainly live with that – like the past, Publisher is  another country and they do things differently there! I'm trying to get all my ID vs Publisher queries cleared up before I cancel my Adobe subscription and stick with the Affinity programs for good.
