Welcome to the Affinity forums.

First, I strongly suggest you remove your email address from this public forum unless you are happy for it to be harvested by spam bots!

Second, which OS do you use, Mac or Windows?  Then, where did you buy the app originally, Affinity Store or Mac or Windows Stores?

If you bought direct from Affinity, on your new computer simply log into your account go to "Downloads and product keys" and redownload and install the software, entering your product key when required.

If you originally purchased from the appropriate App Store, simply log into that store on your new computer, making sure you use exactly the same login details as you used when you first purchased the app and you should be able to download and install the app.

HTH

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I bought Affinity Photo (macOS version) few monthes ago for my Mac Book Pro with the 50% discount. Unfortunately it broke down after 9 years of loyal services.
So I had for my birthday an ASUS.
Do you think I can keep the same key product and pay the difference to have the Windows version ?
Thank you for your response,

Salomé

@SalomeM

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

For all the Affinity apps each licence is permanently linked to both the store used to purchase it (Serif, the Windows App Store, the Mac App Store or the iPad App Store) and to the operating system of the original purchase (Windows, Mac OSX or iOS).  So, as you are changing from one OS (OSX) to a different one (Windows) that does entail buying a new licence and then downloading and installing the Windows version, either direct from Serif or via the Windows App Store.  There is no method by which you can simply pay the "difference to have the Windows version".  At full price, the OSX and Windows versions are the same price, as they were when the 50% discount was being offered.

My husband purchased a copy of Affinity last year, directly from Serif, for my computer, but didn't install it as we expected to be moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10 computers early this year.

However, with the onslaught of CV-19, that hasn't happened, and we don't know when it will.

So my question is, if we install Affinity on my computer now, so I can at least use it, can I move it across to a new Windows machine when I do get one?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Pat Strauss.

Yes, you can do that. In fact, you can have it installed on multiple Windows computers that you own or control. (No one but you may use it for commercial purposes, though.)

@Pat Strauss

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

Simple answer: Yes.  You can install the app(s) to as many computers running the same OS as you own or control.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

First, with a Mac you will have macOS, not iOS. You only have iOS with iPhones, and possibly older iPads.

Yes, your work should be usable on your Mac, though you will need to make sure you have any fonts that you added to Windows added to your Mac as well.

Also, you will need to purchase new licenses for the Affinity applications, as your current licenses only allow you to use the applications on Windows.
