Callum Elliott Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Hi, I know this should be easy and I've watched most of the tutorials about similiar things, but for the life of me I cannot recreate the attached using vectors. I'm trying to do it using the stroke to create the offset gaps. I can create the shape(ish) but stuck when it comes to taking off the strokes. I've attached the afdesign file with as far as I've got. Any help would be much appreciated! https://www.callumelliott.co.uk/Flower.afdesign Quote
firstdefence Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 If it’s going on a plain background just change the stroke to the colour of the background. firstdefence Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 With the document as it is you will need to expand the strokes, merge each group of expanded strokes and trim (geometry subtract) an ellipse so that you only have the expanded stroke/s that are visible. The last shape doesn’t require a stroke as there is nothing to trim underneath and the first group of shapes will not require trimming with an ellipse. Flower remove stroke.afdesign Saved with history so you can jog back and forth in the history panel.
