Blend brush tool doesn't work

After i made some adjustments on my layer, i tried to use the blur tool to smooth the object's confines but it doesn't work.

I used the adjustment tools and changed the brightness of a selected object.

i tried to use the blur tool on a new image without doing anything else beforehand, and it worked just fine.

Can anyone please help me?

Hey hexagon, welcome to the Affinity Forums.

Ideally we would need to see your User Interface to see what brush settings you have set. Also, if you can display the Layers Panel so we can see what you're painting on that would be good too.

The brush can be very subtle so at a glance you might not initially notice anything but it is working for me on a single pixel layer. Are you painting on the adjustment layer or the pixel layer?
