I have an Affinity Publisher document with 34 pages and a fair amount of pictures, all of them linked. Some are JPEG, som eAffinity Photo files. There are no errors on the file. The overall file is 24MB.

When I attempt to export to PDF/X-4 in order to upload it to Blurb it generates an error: "An error occurred while exporting to"

If I attempt to export it to the smallest PDF it goes without  a glitch, which makes me think the problem is my computer can not deal with the export task due to space. I have 17GB free space and 4GB RAM.

Do you have any idea about what can I do?

I could install Affinity Publisher in another computer and move the file, but I am guessing that will open a whole new set of problems embedding the pictures and turning the file huge.

Any help will be much appreciated.

24mb? That is not big and should be easily handled by a computer with 4 gigs of RAM. Can you just export as "PDF (for print)"? I have been in print for a long time and never use X-4.

"exporting to" where? I have no problems with exporting but some people have trouble if they are exporting to "the cloud" or some network drives. Also are the linked images in the cloud or on networked drives?

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

May be, it's well known problem caused by certain fonts, which refuse to be embedded (old type1 fonts) ? Take a search about that theme here in the forum.

Best wishes!
