Adriaan Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Affinity Photo 1.8.3 macOS 10.15.4 See the attached video. I'm trying to export an image with a specific resolution, but the resulting export is one pixel off from what I entered. However, if I enter the other number (87 in this case), the export is the right size. Screen_recording.mp4 Quote
Staff Chris B Posted May 12, 2020 Staff Posted May 12, 2020 Hey Adriaan, This usually happens when the content in the document is not aligned to the pixel grid or uses non-integer values. Check the Transform Panel and see if you have any decimal points. Also check to see if you have Force Pixel Alignment enabled on the toolbar at the top which should ensure the objects are always correctly placed using an integer value. Adriaan Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 That workaround works, but it's still a workaround. Please fix this bug! Quote
Staff Chris B Posted May 12, 2020 Staff Posted May 12, 2020 Hi Adriaan, This is not a bug. The option I mentioned is there to ensure perfect pixel alignment. If your object on the X Y coordinates is off by half a pixel, the export will round up/down. It's best to keep it enabled so this doesn't happen in the future. Also enable 'Move by whole pixels'.
