j3rry Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Affinity Photo 1.8.3 Affinity store version 1. loading a one layer image 2. duplicate the layer 3. add a mask on the duplicated layer  ( looks like a vignette 30% size in the middle ) 4. rasterize the layer with the mask 5. try an fx border with 4 px radius (inner, white, color) you see the mask not the fx đ Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-UniversallizenzÂ
thomaso Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 There is no need to rasterize these layers at all. Also it appears a single layer of type (Mask) can neither get rasterized nor get an effect assigned. Instead to achieve an outline fx around a painted soft edge mask you could ... 1. Add a new pixel layer. 2. Move it hierarchically inside the image to make it masking (clipping). 3. Select this masking layer and apply the fx. layer mask & filter.m4v j3rry 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
