broadcast Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 OK, slightly odd one here: If I have a picture frame selected with a placed PDF document positioned within it exactly how I want, and I go to "replace image", the replaced document's position in the frame is slightly changed. However, if I go via the Layers panel, click on the embedded document and go via "replace document", the position is maintained (which is better obviously!) I don't know how to embed a video here (can someone let me know?) - here's a YouTube link: https://youtu.be/ynleUlMwETo Quote
Staff Gabe Posted May 4, 2020 Staff Posted May 4, 2020 Hi @broadcast, This is the expected behaviour. When you place your first image inside the picture frame, it creates a new layer, and then you position this new layer inside the picture frame. When you "replace image", you effectively delete the layer and replace it with a new one. So, depending on what you did with the size and position of the initial image, the replacement will be always centered in the text frame. However, when you Replace document, you keep its "container" (and therefore the size and position) and only change the file inside it. Quote
broadcast Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 Fair enough, thanks for the reply. I am glad that replace document exists. Got a nice workflow going. Quote
