Each time I try to resize a photo (to send via e-mail)  the mega pixels increase not decrease. I have gone to - Documents - change pixels - etc but no luck. HELP.

Welcome to the forums.
It sounds like you are increasing the DPI. Doing so can increase the size of the file without doing anything useful.
Is this what you are doing? Or are you doing something else?
If you can give us more specific information about what you are trying to do then you should be able to get better advice.

Hi GarryP. Thanks for the quick reply.

I have tried again and still no luck. This is what I am doing - -

1. Bring the photo I am trying to resize (to send in an e mail) into Affinity Photo (It is 5456 x 3064 Pixels and 4,87 MB)

2. I Changed the size to 1000 x 561.6. DPI 350. Bicubic. Ticked Resample.

3. When saved as to desktop the photo increased to 14.9MB. No size mentioned.

4. Tried again, this time change DPI to 144. Size 411.4 x 231.1. However this time photo very pixelated.

I do not know what to do now. Can you help.

Do you really mean you are doing File > Save (or Ctrl+S)?

If so, then I thik you should be using File > Export, instead. Then, if you choose (for example) JPEG format, you will be able to choose the pixel dimensions and a Quality level, both of which will help determine the final size of the file. You should probably also specify a new name, rather than overwriting your original.

You're probably talking about mega bytes, not about mega pixels.
