Hi,

I can't seem to be able to get rid of the pink snapping candidate outlines on text and objects. Unchecking 'Show snapping candidates' makes no difference. Turning off snapping makes no difference. The only way I can preview artwork properly it seems is to save, close, and re-open the document. I'm pretty sure this has started happening since upgrading to 1.8.3.

Hi Russ,

Would you be able to show the behaviour you're getting (even after unticking the Show snapping candidates) via screen recording of the whole screen please? Does it also happen on a new document? If it is document specific could you attach that please?

Thanks

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the quick response. Hope screen recording is useful. I've done a bit more experimentation. The snapping candidate outlines will disappear if you select an object by clicking or from the layers palette. Clicking a locked object does not select it so makes no difference (it's the locked objects that have caught me out in other documents). I would still expect the snapping candidate outlines to disappear as soon as snapping is switched off or 'Show snapping candidates' is unchecked.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Show Snapping Candidates doesn't immediately redraw to reflect) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking to see if this fix resolves this problem for you.
