MousePods Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Hi, I just bought Affinity Designer for macOS. Make a new file on iPad. Save the file as Save a copy Open the file with Open From Cloud on iPad. Make a red square and save. go to my MacBook and open the file. change the red square. go back to the file on iPad. The square isn’t updated. The file's icon view will update in the files app with the change on my iPad but when I open the file, the change isn't showing. However, if I change the red square on my iPad and open on my MacBook, the red square will have updated and show correctly. Is this a known issue? If so, what is the workflow for changing a file on my MacBook and having it update the file on my iPad. Thanks! Quote
MousePods Posted April 14, 2020 Author Posted April 14, 2020 @Sean P Just wondering if there is a fix coming or if this is normal? If it’s normal, I unfortunately cannot use AD between macOS and iPad. Is there a specific location to request a refund on the macOS version? Thanks! Quote
Staff Gabe Posted April 16, 2020 Staff Posted April 16, 2020 Hi @MousePods, Sorry for the delay in responding You're missing some steps here. Files don't dynamically update if they are already opened and modified externally. You need to close the file and re-open it. So, in your example: Make a new file on iPad. Save the file as Save a copy Close the project Open the file with Open From Cloud on iPad. Make a red square and save Close the project go to my MacBook and open the file. change the red square. go back to the file on iPad. Open the project from iCloud Quote
