Hi,
when opening a NEF (D850) file from AP it takes more than a minute to visualize 250 images in a medium size. Is there a way I can speed up this process from AP settings/preference menu?

Hi ALe5,

I'm not aware of anything specific in Preferences to speed up loading the thumbnails., other than changing the preview in the Explorer Window from Medium to Small.

I can't speak for Macs, but on Windows AP is using Windows Explorer to handle the thumbnails.  You could try a different NEF codec to speed up the thumbnail generation and / or you could generate the thumbnails in advance by displaying them as soon as the folder's populated.  I haven't tried it, but WinThumbsPreloader  is supposed to generate thumbnails in selected folders - it might help.

Thank you, I'll try it later...
