How to Copy a mask to an other Layer ?

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately, we're still waiting for the addition of alt-dragging inside the Layers panel to duplicate objects/layers. There is a huge list of requests to be worked through.

Solution: in Layers panel, select the object (a mask for example), press cmd+j to duplicate it, and then drag the duplicate to the required location.

Hello @globesessions,
Welcome to this forum.
The masking a layer works a little differently in affinity photo.
open a Image
duplicate this image
a right click on the duplicated image
and than Rasterise to Mask.

A left clik of the thumbnail with hold down the ALT Key,  the mask is displayed as a grayscale image.

I hope it helps.

Cheers
