Typing Tool triggers shortcuts and resizing font crashes program

Hello!

Over the past two days, I've been attempting to use the frame text tool to add text to my photos, like I normally do. However, whenever I go to type, it either switches or maximizes other files I have open in Photo and selects tools, some assigned to certain keys and others not. When I go to change the font, it jumps back to the previously selected font. When I try to change the font-size, it crashes the program.

I HAVE noticed that this is not a problem when I only have one file open. I seem to use the program as normal.

The program also slows down as I open more windows, which is not a problem I have experienced previously.

I did not have this problem the last time I used it (back on March 13th), so I don't know if I accidentally hit something and screwed up the settings (I reset them, but nothing has changed), something went wrong with the update (March 16th, according to the App Store), or what. I restarted my computer, hoping that would take care of the problem, but it did not.

I noticed the same thing today, although I was using Designer at the time. Likewise, I thought I'd accidentally hit some weird keyboard short cut. I subsequently noticed the same behaviour in Photo — when more than one window was open, using either text tool resulted in the first character appearing in the focus window, and then the programe's focus changing to one of the other open windows; the original text box lost focus as a result, so continuing to type meant the programme read the input as keyboard short cuts, selecting appropriate tools, etc. When I tried to replicate the behaviour to get a screen recording, it only happened if the other windows were minimised (see the recording), but Photo did slow down dramatically when I began typing (this was also the case in Designer). Again, like Kelly, everything works as expected if an application has only one document window open.

I've attached a screen recording of the behaviour in Photo and in Publisher.

Thanks. I replicated it now and logged it with our developers. The key was being in separated mode.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Separated Mode: text related dropdown closes itself and switch focus to the next document) of the program in the latest release.
