Publisher: search for used fonts in document? [solved]

Recommended Posts

After publishing my bookI had a look at the PDF-properties and noticed, that there is an font embedded, which I don't want to use.

I would like to avoid to have to go through manually each text field in my 270 paged publication so my question to the forum: is there a convienient and easy way to search for specific fonts and their placement/location inside a publisher document? Or a simple search & replace possibility for fonts?

Any help appriciated, thanks in advance.

Publisher supports Find and Replace via the Text menu or the studio panel.

And the Find/Replace can search for fonts and replace them with other fonts. Both the Find and the Replace fields have a cog icon, and one of the options is "Format", which allows you to specify a font.

1+ Wow, mighty feature - gives me a perfect overview of all text locations locations with a specified format style. Thanks Walt.

Unfortunatly there seems no MalgunGothic font in my document...  So where's this font now coming from?

If it doesn't show up in the Font Manager, and doesn't show up in the Find/Replace, perhaps it's in an embedded or linked document? I'm not sure Font Manager or Find/Replace would find it there.

However, I think the Preflight studio panel and checks would look at embedded/linked documents, so that might find it for you.

(And, you're welcome :) )
