Will not generate an export of any kind

I have been using Designer for about 6 months fine and all of a sudden it will not export my drawings. I usually export from my iPad Pro and finish them on my Mac. I export as an EPS and have tried turning off embed metadata but all I get is Generating export... and then nothing. Once I cancel the export, I get a spinning wheel on the thumbnail and have to restart the app to be able to get back into the drawing. Actually, any drawing I open and then close, gets the spinning wheel. I am running iPadOS 13.3.1

Please help, Designer is an important part of my work flow.

EPS not exporting has been fixed in current photo beta gm version so should be released very soon. I imagine the fix will be applied to designer at same time.

Hi Bonita,

As DM1 has said, would you be able to try the newest 1.8.2 version please? There has been some fixes with some exports getting stuck.

I have AD 1.8.3 on the iPad and the problem persists. The wheel spins continuously and then the app shuts down. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi Leonela. Mods are a bit slow responding due to the covid crisis. Have you tried exporting to another format eg, pdf? Did that work? Some large eps files can takes a while to finalise. Is the app shutting down or just iPad shutting off screen?

If you are prepared to attach the .afdesign file I’d be happy to test it on my iPad to see if there is an issue with the file.
