USERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT. Even if they don't.

I have both: Windows and macOS versions of designer. MacOS grid subdivision DOES NOT WORK. Windows version works as expected.

Please fix it.

Even when they have different, mutually exclusive ideas about how something should work? 🤔

Please. Its working as expected in Windows version. On macOS it DOES NOT work at all. Reproducing this is just like 5 minutes to switch computers. How do you think I have come to this place? Because I feel frustrated that such important, but simple feature is broken on macOS version.

Hi iriskin,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Go to  menu Affinity Designer > Preferences, Performance section and check if you have the Display dropdown set to OpenGL. If so change it to Metal and restart the app. Try setting the grid again.

solved it for me!

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Grids divisions fail to show below 16px and grids fail to show below 4px using OpenGL) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you.
