edee
WISH I HAD NOT UPDATED After the update - Now when I create an art board so I can just simply export a small part of my image, when I UNDO, how do you get the Original Size of my document back? I WAS working like this: I have a 1600 X 816 document. Lets say I have 10 icons and I want to export each icon separately, I create an art board around the first one and export that, then UNDO (ctrl+z) and my document size and every on the document looks exactly the way it did before I exported the small bit. That's the way it was working. Now if I use an art board to export a small part of my project, when I UNDO, the size of the document becomes the size the art board was! So I have to resize the document and when I resize I get a weird area that doesn't show up at all. Watch the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j73z5CBt-Iw Undo should undo everything. walt.farrell
I agree that Undo should Undo everything, and I'm not sure why it's not. However, rather than creating Artboards, and using Undo, as you're doing, it would probably be better to use the Export Persona and the Slices panel. Your desire to export individual pieces of your overall document is exactly what the Export Persona was designed to do, and it will eliminate the need to create the artboards as you've been doing. edee
walt.farrell Thank you for your reply. Mostly because I've never gotten it to slice. If you look at the image, the part I wanted is in the blue box, but I got the entire image anyway. The other issue is that it won't snap to the grid. So even if I could get it to just save just the part I want saved, it's hit or miss if it's snapped to the grid. I've rebooted, reinstalled - Nothing will undo the art board. Old Bruce
You should look to the Slices panel, not the layers panel.
