Hello,

I just posted the below question and also wanted to ask if there will be any issues with editing the a7Riv file and file sizes on the new iPad Pro?

I do a lot of editing with the iPad and go back and forth between the iPad and iMac via iCloud Drive to edit one photo.

(Posted on the iMac forum)

"I am about to buy the new Sony a7Riv and the 85mm f1.4 G-Master lens.

I was able to get my hands on a RAW file but have now discovered there is no lens correction in the Develop Persona for this lens.

Is there any where I can find It so I can add it in or can you guys add it to the list?

Also wondering if there will be any other issues with this camera and lens and using Affinity Photo for editing as I always do?

Please advise so I am not hit with a bunch of problems when I get the camera and lens and get back to shooting for clients"

Thank you.

iPad utilises apples raw engine, the desktop offers Apple raw engine and serif raw engine.

if your camera is listed on Apples supported cameras list it will work on iPad. If not, you will have to wait until Apple add your camera, or do the raw development on desktop using serifs raw engine.

apples raw support list:

I am using the Sony a7rM4 with the FE100-400 f5.6 GM lens +1.4x converter.  It is now working really well. Even though this lens and camera are not supported I have not found a real problem with lens correction. Pretty awesome in fact.  As well I can now import both uncompressed 61mps and compressed 122mps imagines.   So I would say go for it.
I do know that Apple and Sony were working on this issue as there was a problem on the Macs as well.  Had a long chat with tech guys.  It's fixed there as well.

Is this on iPad,   or desktop (where you can use Affinity raw decoder)?

Once the raw file is developed, (on Desktop?) there shouldn’t be any issues editing file with iPad.

Sorry for confusion, just confirming that camera import works on iPad. After a second look I can see it on the supported list. Missed it with first look and wanted to confirm whether your answer referred to Mac part of question or iPad part. Obviously, both so good news for OP.
