Staff Callum Posted February 26, 2020 Staff Posted February 26, 2020 Hi Marco M, Welcome to the forums You could use the Pen Tool in Affinity Photo to draw your path then towards the top left of the app on the context tool bar hit selection then mask the layer you are trying to clip to your selection. Thanks Callum marco m 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
marco m Posted February 28, 2020 Author Posted February 28, 2020 thanx a lot for your reply. il try to experiment with that function. i usually work on clipping path and i have my routine after years. thanx a lot Marco Quote
Fixx Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 In my tests I have not been able to make normal traditional clipping path to a TIFF file with Affinity Photo. InDesign does not recognise path made with Photo. Quote
GarryP Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 You might want to take a step back and ask what you need the clipping paths for. Take the attached video as an example where, in Publisher, a clipping mask has been applied to an image. With the right Text Flow options applied to the image, the text will flow without needed a clipping path in the image itself. Also, the attached image shows that you can get text to follow an already-isolated shape, again without a clipping path. Your requirements may be for something else but it’s worth thinking about whether you need clipping paths for what you want to do. 2020-02-28_14-22-35.mp4 Quote
