Also, please note that the beta installation instructions recommend not using it for production work, so you should take care. No, the retail version isn't required to be installed (except perhaps if you bought the Microsoft Store version... might need to double check that...).However, we recommend keeping the retail version installed because we don't recommend you do production work in the beta (i.e. anything you're not prepared to lose due to bugs etc).
